Parisienne Hair by L'oreal French Browns

August 19, 2016

L’ORÉAL PROFESSIONNEL’S MAJIREL #FRENCHROWNS
MAKES EFFORTLESS PARISIENNE HAIR ACHIEVABLE FOR EVERYONE

Manila, Philippines LOréal Professionnel proudly reveals the trendiest hair color this season, #FrenchBrowns by Majirel, with a grand hair show featuring a live demonstration of hair cuts and trends by L’Oréal Professionnel International Portfolio Artist, world-renowned hairstylist Berni Ottjes complimented by a fashion ensemble by celebrated designer Francis Libiran.
They call it Je ne sais quoi—that inexplainable yet striking charm only seemingly innate to French girls—loved by all, hardly achievable by any. Call it an unstudied take on beauty, or the simple radiance brought by throwing one's cares into the wind—the French have always been one to sport an effortlessly stunning face, and even more so, nonchalantly gorgeous hair.

Thing is, there's a hidden formula behind devil-may-care French Girl hair. It's a combination of a distinct color, cut, and style seen among the most followed French girls worldwide: a variety of brown locks, bluntly chopped and styled in a messy tousle. That's why L’Oréal Professionnel gathered the best browns of Majirel, its biggest hair color collection, to come up with a definitive selection collectively known as #FrenchBrowns.
And yes, French Girl hair can finally be achieved by Filipinas, with the local launch of #FrenchBrowns. This latest hair color collection from L’Oréal Professionnel takes from the extensive Majirel portfolio, taking its 10 most significant brown shades and infusing its original formulae with subtler reflects, to come up with a more subdued hue. The result of each of these 10 hues on the hair is a distinct brown shade with just the right amount of tame luster, nailing the irreverently subtle, effortless and elegant hair look that French girls possess.

This nonchalant yet striking quality of #FrenchBrowns make each shade visible on its wearer, while maintaining a chic sophistication that is easy to wear for everyday. In this collection of colors, subtlety is the key to elegance: French beauty draws attention by doing exactly the opposite—an unassuming, carefree hair look will nail that ineffable vibe of Je ne sai quoi.
The ten-shade collection—unapologetically wide for a color line-up purely composed of brown—was especially gathered with the goal of making each experience as bespoke as possible to clients. Clients can choose from elegant coppers with a subtle ash, cool browns with a warm copper sheen, precise cool brown shades, and Majirel's signature browns in both cool and warm tones. Each hair color has vibrant payoff in any base shade, and offers 100 percent white hair coverage, making this look any girl's best bet for French girl hair that is au naturel.

#FrenchBrowns come as an exclusive in-salon service done by hair experts from L'Oreal Professionnel. As a complement to its bespoke quality, each #FrenchBrown shade is applied onto clients with expert hair contouring techniques, making sure that the color, application and quality goes beyond any ordinary brown hair coloring service

EVA GREEN FOR MAJIREL FRENCH BROWNS

The definitive sample of the effortless, natural, subtle French Girl is the Paris-born Eva Green, who is the face of the L'Oreal Professionnel Majirel #FrenchBrown collection. Once a Bond Girl and now the star of fantasy-horror series Penny Dreadful, Eva strikes with intriguingly undone beauty, which she portrays to a T as she debunks French Girl clichés in the #FrenchBrowns commercial.
In the video, she naughtily hangs off an elevator, devours a fat slice of cake, peruses a cheeky magazine and creates rude drama on her date night, proving that French women aren't necessarily prim, diet-conscious, intellectual and romantic. Finally, the #FrenchBrowns collection is revealed, rebutting the statement "French women don't need hairdressers, " a witty take on announcing that French Girl hair can be had by anyone, after all.

UnbeaTEN - Kojiesan's 10th Year Anniversary

August 14, 2016

Beauty Elements Ventures Inc. brings beauty to light to millions of Filipinas for 10 years And Kojiesan is the star burning brighter than ever

Beauty Elements Venture’s Inc. (BEVI), the manufacturer of the country’s favorite skin-lightening product, Kojiesan, is celebrating 10 fruitful years of bringing a lighter, flawless and more beautiful complexion to Filipinos.

BEVI’s success story is a testament to the undaunted determination of its owner. From a few dozen orders to millions of bars sold, the soap steadily became a favorite among Filipinos. The innovative product reached consumers across the country, and soon after, distribution went worldwide as an export commodity.

BEVI started in a humble office in a residential area of Makati. Now, the company operates from an entire building. It also owns 6 hectares of manufacturing facilities in San Pablo, Laguna, providing employment to more than 500 employees.

BEVI launched the original kojic acid soap formulated the traditional Japanese way and made it even better by adding high-grade virgin coconut oil into the mix.

Kojiesan is an exceptional treatment to even out skin tone, erase dark spots, and other forms of skin pigmentations. It also corrects skin discoloration while lightening the skin. The Kojiesan Classic Line includes the Skin Lightening Soap, Cleanser+Toner, Face Lightening Cream, and Body Lightening Lotion.

With the success of the Classic Line, Kojiesan was able to extend its product lines to other categories such as anti-aging, acne treatment, men's skincare, cellulite control, sunblock, and fragrances. Results vary individually. How your skin reacts to any skin lightener will depend on your unique skin sensitivity, the extent of the pigmentation, and/or daily sun exposure. Initially, an improvement should be seen in the first or second week, then the ultimate result within the next 30 days or a few weeks thereafter.

Kojiesan’s commitment to quality is reflected in the recognition it garnered for five consecutive years as “Bath Soap Brand of the Year” at the Watson's Health and Beauty Awards and Consumer “SM Top Choice” Awards.

With more tricks than truth behind what brands say, Kojiesan enjoins us to be careful with what we buy. Some labels brandish catchy, creative terms ---triple effect this, intensive that, pinkish whitewhatever, and touting invented numbers --- 4 tones fairer, 7 days faster--- with zero consideration for your natural skin’s reaction to adverse products.

And for all the claims and white lies told, the question remains: have they shown us results? It’s time we see the light. No lab-made chemical complexes, no marketing-invented promises. Just you and your natural beauty, shining at its lightest.

The proof is in the pigment, and seeing is believing. So don’t let those brands tell you what works for you. Join the millions who’ve witnessed visible results, because it’s time to BRING YOUR SKIN TO LIGHT with the country’s No. 1 kojic soap: KOJIESAN! SEE IT YOURSELF.

“We will continue to innovate products and expand our distribution to bring the highest level of consumer experience to a greater number of people. We want to be known as the company who delivers quality and effective products,” says BEVI marketing head, Tricia Gregorio.

Lucky X Penshoppe

July 31, 2016

Manila Gets Lucky with Penshoppe and Lucky Blue Smith
Social Media’s Favorite Male Model arrives in the country for fashion show
and meet & greet with fans

He’s young, hot, and currently breathing the same air as you. International supermodel and Penshoppe ambassador, Lucky Blue Smith, is currently in Manila to frontline a fashion show at the Conrad Manila, which will showcase the brand’s much anticipated pre-holiday collection.

In addition to the fashion show, Lucky will also participate in a meet and greet with fans on July 30. The said event will be held at Penshoppe at SM Aura Premier in Bonifacio Global City.

“Among the things that Penshoppe is known for is our annual meet and greet where we bring really international personalities to the country,” shares Jeff Bascon, Brand Director of Penshoppe. “We really love doing this because one, it allows these celebrities to get to know the Filipinos better, and the main market that brand they are representing is speaking to. In addition, it also brings global attention to our country, our people, and our culture, which is something that Penshoppe really strives to do.”

Lucky Blue Smith was launched as a Penshoppe ambassador back in February when he became the face of the brand’s Spring/Summer campaign. The 18-year old, who hails from Los Angeles, got scouted to become a model at the young age of 10. By 12, he had already signed up with an international modeling agency. Last year, the six-foot-two-inch model—with his piercing blue eyes and platinum hair—skyrocketed to international fame, especially online, with people dubbing him as the male equivalent of Cara Delevingne.

Lucky will also be featured in Penshoppe’s pre-holiday campaign, Rule the City, alongside the brand’s other ambassadors such as supermodels Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Sean O’Pry with Asian superstars Sandara Park and Mario Maurer. Featuring a myriad of cool and undeniably stylish pieces that come in both dynamic and subdued colors, the collection for this campaign intends to highlight the vibrant and edgy fashion sense of “cool kids” from different parts of the world’s most fashionable metropolises.

IT Blogger Aimee Song is SM Makati’s New Brand Ambassador

July 06, 2016

Sought after interior designer and It Blogger Aimee Song is the girl everybody wants to dress like. One of the first fashion bloggers, she began blogging in 2008, and since that time, her Song of Style has risen to the game changer status, thanks to her knack for creating bold but laid back outfits.

Born to parents of Korean descent, the LA-based social media darling has an Instagram following of 3.6 million and counting. What makes Aimee stand out from today’s crop of influencers is her accessible but aspirational sense of style. “We’re real people, not supermodels or celebrities,” she once said. Her sought-after status, however, has led to an uber-stylish, jetsetting lifestyle. A scroll through her Instagram feed gives followers a glimpse of Aimee in Cannes, Milan, Venice, London, Seoul, and Tokyo, all within the past two months.

Aimee began blogging while studying Interior architecture in the Academy of Art University, with the original intent of focusing on interior design. But when her outfit posts received an overwhelmingly positive response, she quickly switched to doing a personal style blog.

“My blog represents who I am, fun, easy going, and colorful, a mix and match of styles with under-lying California roots,” she has said in a previous interview, a sense of style that makes her the perfect brand ambassador for SM Makati.

As an interior designer and fashion blogger, she likewise feels that, “my blog followers feel they can relate to me because I have a job outside of blogging.” This is certainly something the stylish working girls in Makati’s Central Business District can relate to.

And as if her credentials can’t get even more impressive—Aimee just wrote a book called Capture Your Style. In her blog she shares, “I’ve been blogging for about eight years now and in that time I’ve gotten to go all around the world to the most beautiful destinations and attend events I dreamed of when I was younger. A huge part of those experiences and my success as an influencer has been documenting them on Instagram. That’s what this book is all about–how to showcase your life through beautiful photos on Instagram.”

In a previous interview, Aimee says, “Every time I get approached for a collaboration or get offered a job, I feel like it's a stamp of approval because it means my opinion matters.”

Like Aimee, The SM Store in Makati is all about celebrating everyone’s personal style.

Follow The SM Store on Snapchat (smstore), Facebook (facebook.com/TheSMStore), and Instagram (@thesmstore) for updates on the SM x Aimee Song collaboration.

Conrad Manila,  the newly opened modern, dynamic and luxurious hotel located at Manila is the official hotel partner for the duration of  Song of Style:  Aimee Song stay here in Manila for the SM x Aimee Song collaboration.

Manila X Style & Music Festival

May 19, 2016

X MARKS THE SPOT
The Manila X Festival has fashion and music on equal billing.

Fashion has always been heavily influenced by music, and the same can be said vice-versa. Street style provides evidence: music festivals are as celebrated for fashion as much as its musical acts, so much so that festival dressing has evolved to be a style genre of its own.

Milking this charmed connection between fashion and music is the Manila X Festival, where the metro's hottest musical acts perform in the midst of a full-blown fashion showcase. Festival goers are in for a treat: four fashion shows will have models walk the runway in four different fashion themes: grunge, Coachella, sleek and activewear. Each show, scored by live musical acts, will be styled by one of Manila's most sought-after celebrity stylists: Bang Pineda, John Paul Dizon, Myrrh Lao To, and duo Rain Dagala and Em Millan. Hip fashion retail website Zalora will also hold its own fashion show featuring its in-house brands. During this segment, the audience will be encouraged to purchase pieces worn by the models on the spot, entitling the live buyer to exciting discounts.

Now on to the music, Manila X Festival has an exciting line-up of live OPM performers and DJ acts. New boy band The Juans will be taking the stage, as well as real-life couple and songwriter duo Thyro and Yumi. Alternative rock band Kjwan lead by vocalist Marc Abaya will be performing alongside celebrated indie rock band Up Dharma Down. Under hip-hop, award-winning rapper Gloc 9 will definitely keep the audience tongue-tied in excitement. Fashion blogger and versatile singer Kiana Valenciano is a fresh inclusion to the line-up, while pop-rock singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino is sure to perform her hits. Manila's most-followed DJs will also be on rotation. To make sure everyone gets to have even more fun, DJs Badkiss, duo Curse & Bless, Jessica Milner, Tom Taus, Marc Marasigan, Mars Miranda, and Ace Ramos will be spinning the night away.

Manila X Festival is the first of its kind in the Philippines—an event where music and fashion are both front and center. The festival happens on June 04, 2016, Saturday, 7PM at Globe Circuit Event Grounds, Carmona, Makati City.

Tickets are available at www.ticketworld.com.ph or on site at the day of the festival
