70th Anniversary of Wrangler!

August 29, 2017

Ever wondered how fashion evolved in the 70’s era? There were tons of fashion statements made during the 70’s, of course denim is a big part of it. I got invited last Thursday to celebrate Wrangler’s 70th Anniversary party.

Together with the celebration of their 70th Anniversary, they launched a collection inspired by the 70’s era! So that includes, tight ringer t’s, denim shorts, and more denim!

Wrangler was the definitive denim brand for teenagers back in this style-setting decade; so the anniversary collection has been artfully inspired by the brand’s notable archive finds-- reinventing the most popular ‘70s styles for today’s young spirits with a passion for life and all of its adventures.

With its retro feel, Wrangler has come up with a rainbow logo-- a symbol of confidence, exuberance, and freedom, traits that are intrinsic to Wrangler’s brand’s persona.

In this collection, trademark Wrangler basics are back and are better than ever. The label has tapped into the editorial ‘70s imagery for inspiration and has re-launched the vintage Kabel font logo. It also includes bold, colourful tees that feature variations of the iconic ‘70s Wrangler rainbow, and signature staples in vibrant hues with the iconic retro seventies cuts.

The event was in partnership with Heineken Philippines, Lollipuffs Cotton Candy, and Fujifilm Philippines.

Still, Wrangler continues to be renowned and praised for being inspiring, progressive and always in tune with the ever-changing needs of its fashion-forward customers.

March 28, 2017

Hi babes! How are you guys doing? I haven't posted an entry for a while now but I'm excited and a little lazy for tonight's event - Zalora Style Awards because I don't have an outfit for it yet! Currently, I'm enjoying this bag from Shiqbags. I got the Moss Green color because it looks classy and casual at the same time. And it's so great to see your initials on the front part with the gold studs giving accent to the whole look! I use this when I'm on the go or just wanna relax with my phone and wallet. Looks like I'm gonna be using this tonight! :) Have a great day!

Girls.Girls.Girls

March 22, 2017

Hello babes! There's a funny story with this photo. JP and I caused some traffic while shooting this because we parked the car just along the street. We were searching for some cool backgrounds around this village and we suddenly saw this cool wooden gate and of course, a white wall with some bougainvillea. Went for a casual look with style and muted colors.
Shirt: got it from @Awear_PH, you could find them on Instagram. The shirt says Girls Girls Girls which reminded me of a song by Lady Gaga but Boys Boys Boys instead.
Jeans: this by far has been on the list of my favorite jeans. Got this from Mossimo.
Shoes: I've been loving how I could wear this shoes casually without me looking too casual. I've worn this for 3 days straight now. It's from Salvatore Mann.
Purse: got it from Salvatore Mann as well. This is my first purse and I think, I'll be buying more from this brand.
Sunnies: H&M
Hope you're having a great day/night! :)

Mossimo SS17 Coachella Inspired

March 20, 2017

Mossimo SS17 Coachella Inspired
Take your individual style to the next level as Mossimo breathes life to the season with their new Spring/Summer 2017 collection

Get ready to amp up your wardrobe as Mossimo, one of Manila’s favorite casual wear brands, releases their Spring/Summer 2017 collection with the themes of “COACHELLA” and “LA ISLA”.

Taking inspiration from the worldwide-known music festival and the fashion culture that it has given birth to, the first half of Mossimo’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection revolves around relaxed, laidback pieces that are perfect for that almost-bohemian, Coachella-inspired look & lifestyle.

With a dynamic range of pieces and an interesting texture play on weaves and cotton knits, the brand makes it incredibly easy to cop the looks of the always-stylish who populate the crowded festival grounds. From sexy off-shoulder tops, comfortable yet trendy maxi-dresses, funky space dyed polo tops, and your favorite closet staple of denims, the collection, while never compromising quality and wearability, personifies the burst of colors that can only be found in festive music extravaganzas.

The second half of Mossimo’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection is all about the island life. Laid-back, easy-breezy, and highly-reminiscent of the Caribbean scene and vibes, the collection focuses on tropical elements, the abundance of flora & fauna, and the romance found in dusky sunsets by the shore.

With a unique and striking color palette of sand and peach tones, combined with the light & deep blue hues of the sea, key pieces feature dip-dyed cotton shirts, one-shoulder ruffled tops, on-trend stripe and floral prints, and lightweight destructed denim items that will remind one of the enviously chill life beside the oceans.

“Our Spring/Summer 2017 collection is all about the celebration of fashion found in music festivals and in the lusciously cool beaches around the globe,” tells Alex Bautista, Mossimo's VP for Product. “At Mossimo, we reinforce the belief of following your personal fashion style, be it laid back, edgy or both. We celebrate individuality and we make sure that all the pieces and collections we offer are not only high quality, wearable, and work with and around your personal style, but are also on-trend, cool, and exciting.”

The new Spring/Summer 2017 collection will be available in all Mossimo stores nationwide. For more information on Mossimo and their latest collections, you may follow WearMossimo on Facebook and Instagram.

Owndays! Owndays! Owndays!

December 06, 2016

Almost everything is instant and convenient these days. Just like getting your prescription glasses! Usually, the process of getting a prescription glasses could take an hour in most of the optical houses here in Manila. But I am in awe when I heard that Owndays has opened a branch in Estancia Mall!
If you don't know what Owndays is, it is  known for its quick “20-minute” processing time, 1,500 styles and “all-in-one” pricing system, OWNDAYS has been rapidly expanding globally, and has recently entered the Philippine market. Starting from Php 2,900- Php 6,990 (lens included), the affordable yet high quality frames of OWNDAYS have gained huge local popularity leading to the opening of 8 locations as of the month.
As you enter an OWNDAYS store, notice a huge difference from the traditional optical retailers in terms of the wide open concept store design, which allows customers to touch and try over a thousand different styles of frames freely. Customers can either choose to have their vision checked by the PRC Licensed Optometrist in the store, bring an existing prescription, or have their existing pair of glasses copied.  OWNDAYS’ in-house PRC Licensed Optometrists use the latest optical machines to test your vision. After choosing your frames and having your eyes checked, you can bring home your OWNDAYS glasses in just 20 minutes.

The price packages on frames are inclusive of high quality multi-coated lenses. Customers who have higher “grades” need not worry as there are no additional charges for ultra-thin lenses. Since it is both practical and stylish to own more than one pair of glasses, OWNDAYS offers an additional 25% discount to all subsequent frames (applied to the cheaper pairs).
At OWNDAYS, you’ll discover an experience you won’t get from any other optical store. “Feel free to choose and try on any pair that fits your mood or lifestyle. Whether it’s basic and functional or stylish and fashionable, we have a pair for everyone,”

Find your latest fashionable pair of eyeglasses at any of the OWNDAYS branches: Glorietta 2, Robinsons Place Manila, U.P. Town Center, Landmark Makati, Festival Mall, Landmark Trinoma, Uptown Mall.

SOON TO OPEN: Robinsons Galleria and Shangri-La Plaza (December 2016)

Laidback & Edgy.

October 31, 2016

It's a long weekend here in Manila due to the "Undas" that happens every year. I didn't have anything to do so I decided to take a walk around BGC. If you're not aware, BGC is my go-to place for an outfit photoshoots and such. For my #OOTD, I wanted something laidback & edgy because I'll be walking around. Of course, which brand offers both? MOSSIMO.

.
MOSSIMO is releasing a new capsule collection and it's unlike anything you're ever seen from the brand before. Entitled MOSSIMO X, the collection opens MOSSIMO to a whole new set of customers, with pieces inspired by every day urban and streetwear with unconverntional twists.

The long line tee is easy to wear alone, but I like adding a few touch ups.
So I layered it with a denim jacket.

MOSSIMO X will be available at Mossimo Gloriette, SM Mall of ASIA, SM Megamall, and SM North EDSA soon. Follow MOSSIMO PH on Facebook & Instagram.

Manila X Style & Music Festival

May 19, 2016

X MARKS THE SPOT
The Manila X Festival has fashion and music on equal billing.

Fashion has always been heavily influenced by music, and the same can be said vice-versa. Street style provides evidence: music festivals are as celebrated for fashion as much as its musical acts, so much so that festival dressing has evolved to be a style genre of its own.

Milking this charmed connection between fashion and music is the Manila X Festival, where the metro's hottest musical acts perform in the midst of a full-blown fashion showcase. Festival goers are in for a treat: four fashion shows will have models walk the runway in four different fashion themes: grunge, Coachella, sleek and activewear. Each show, scored by live musical acts, will be styled by one of Manila's most sought-after celebrity stylists: Bang Pineda, John Paul Dizon, Myrrh Lao To, and duo Rain Dagala and Em Millan. Hip fashion retail website Zalora will also hold its own fashion show featuring its in-house brands. During this segment, the audience will be encouraged to purchase pieces worn by the models on the spot, entitling the live buyer to exciting discounts.

Now on to the music, Manila X Festival has an exciting line-up of live OPM performers and DJ acts. New boy band The Juans will be taking the stage, as well as real-life couple and songwriter duo Thyro and Yumi. Alternative rock band Kjwan lead by vocalist Marc Abaya will be performing alongside celebrated indie rock band Up Dharma Down. Under hip-hop, award-winning rapper Gloc 9 will definitely keep the audience tongue-tied in excitement. Fashion blogger and versatile singer Kiana Valenciano is a fresh inclusion to the line-up, while pop-rock singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino is sure to perform her hits. Manila's most-followed DJs will also be on rotation. To make sure everyone gets to have even more fun, DJs Badkiss, duo Curse & Bless, Jessica Milner, Tom Taus, Marc Marasigan, Mars Miranda, and Ace Ramos will be spinning the night away.
