How We Got There?

You could take the plane, bus, or by sea. But we decided to take the 8 hours bus trip. We met at the Gateway Mall in Cubao to buy food. We took an Uber from the mall to the Bicol Isarog Bus Terminal. I wouldn't suggest taking an Uber since it's just in front of Farmer's Mall, but we have a lot of stuff to carry so taking an Uber is acceptable.

Bus Price: 1,000Php (Deluxe)

On to our trip, the bus was really nice! There are only a few seats so it's very spacious and there is a lavatory available too! Did I mention that it's a Lazy Boy chair? :) We left 15 minutes earlier than the 8:30pm departure time. 

The bus took 2 Stopovers. The 1st one has a McDonalds and 7/11 so it's fine if you weren't able to bring food.

We reached Naga Busport earlier than we thought at 4:30am! We we're like "Andito naba tayo?" "Ito naba yun?" "Mali ata to!" We all expected that we'd arrive at 7am. So we stayed at the Foodcourt because we had to wait for the van that would take us to the Talisay Port.

It's a 45min to 1hour ride from the busport to Talisay port. I was not informed that we'll be riding the speedboat. Mind you, there are locals that would help you with your baggage, and will ask for payment. It's another 45minute ride to reach the island but it was such an enjoyable experience because of the view and the fresh air.

The Island ( Tugawe Cove Resort)

Upon reaching the Island, we were greeted by the staff and one of them is our personal butler-Ms. Pinky! We rode the multicab to go uphill because the frontdesk is there. They will serve a blue lemonade and THE BEST MARUJA we've ever tasted!!!

As we reached our Cabin, it felt like we were in a different country! It's really different from the busy and toxic Manila. Imagine the birds chirping, fresh air, and healthy trees surrounding your house. It's definitely a paradise!

This room may not be as flashy as the ones that you would see in Manila, but it's the perfect one for this kind of environment.

The Food

Buffet Breakfast is served from 6am-10am. Food from the buffet breakfast would consist of the usual food that you would usually have for brekky. I wouldn't suggest having it served in your room because it's a buffet type. Lunch and Dinner is a full-course meal so you wouldn't have to bother thinking of late night cravings but there are available food to order till 10pm.

Expect the meal to be pricey for you are in an island and everything has to be delivered to the island, but it's worth it I tell you.

The Activities!

Of course! What would a vacation be without any activities. On our 2nd day, we went island hopping! We were scheduled to visit 6 islands! The first island took us 45minutes to travel to.


We visited a community and we were welcomed by the kids! They are all so cute and it felt like they really wanted to hang with us.The tide changed so weren't able to visit the 4th island which they call The Sandbar.

                                          We even got to have a Boodle Fight by the sea!

Infinity Pools


The hotel has 2 infinity pool; one on the hilltop and the other on the beach front.
It's such a nice feeling to dip in the pool with this gorgeous view!

My Experience?


It was something I never thought of doing since I've always stayed in Manila. Being one with nature in a sense, brought me back to my senses. I was able to clear my mind with the thought of doing nothing but enjoy the place and hear the birds chirping and smell of fresh air! I'm really looking forward to going back to Tugawe Cover Resort and feel how easy it is to live.
