How To Enjoy Baler with L'Sirene Boutique Resort?

October 26, 2017

It's time for another adventure! and this time, I went to the city of waves - BALER! But you know how beaches in Baler could get really crowded, right? I found this new resort that is far from the chaotic side of Baler. It's the L'Sirene Boutique Resort. Read more to find my experience!

How To Go?
We took the JoyBus in Cubao at 2:30am and arrived in Baler at 7am, the trip was fast but kind of uncomfortable because you will be welcomed by zigzag roads once you reach the valley. But the seats are really nice and clean.
JoyBus Deluxe – 730Php (No Stopover)
Genesis Regular – 450Php (2-3 Stopovers)
Once you arrived at the station, you could take a 15-25 minute trycicle ride to L’Sirene.

The Resort
L’Sirene is far from Sabang which is the center of Baler if you are there for the beach which could get a little crowded.
When we arrived at the resort, in my mind I was saying “Beverly Hills!” because of the palm trees and the long pool in the middle of the resort. It was really pretty. The resort is not as big compared to other resorts that I’ve been to because L’ Sirene is just less than a year old. But considering that it’s just new, I’d say that it’s actually beautiful.

Upon entering, you will be welcomed by the rooms on each side and the pool in the middle. The reception and the café is in one building.
Upon checking-in, you will be asked for a thousand pesos for a room just for security purposes but will be given back during check-out. The receptionists were friendly and very accommodating which I really like even if the weather was blazing hot. Forecast on height of the waves is displayed on the reception as well.

Take a dip in the pool while watching the beautiful sunset!

The Rooms

This is one of the most refreshing rooms I’ve been to! It was so clean and cold! There is a mermaid tail blanket on the bed that you could use and even purchase for 1,500 Php. The television has a few channels but it didn’t bother because you didn’t travel this far just to watch tv, right? J
Our room has 2 beds that could fit 2 people each.

The Food

I always look forward for the food offered by a hotel or resort especially for this one because it's a secluded area so there is no store around unless you wanna walk far. Thank Goodness it did not disappoint!! But expect for it to be a little pricey.

My favorite is the Sinigang!! It has the right amount of sourness that is so addicting! For breakfast, they don't have buffet but they serve Filipino cuisine in the AM.

The Beach

It was my first time seeing a beach that has raging waves but fun to play with! My friends and I really had a great time playing with the waves and being one with them! You could rent their surfboards and even take basic surfing lessons(rates are available at the reception).
Be careful when playing with the waves because it could take you to the ocean, so please ALWAYS CHECK the height of the waves and when not to hit the beach at the the reception area.
There are beach beds available if you just wanna chill at the beachfront and enjoy the sound of the waves. It was really relaxing and I even fell asleep listening to it.

Final Experience.
I could say that this is the beach to go to if you really want to enjoy Baler without the big number of people. It’s a relaxing experience and would choose it in a heartbeat if ever I would go back to Baler. One thing I wasn’t a fan of is the signal here. I always find a hard time uploading photos, but it was a way to refresh your mind. If you wanna know their rates, visit their website by clickig this L'Sirene.
You could follow them on Instagram and like them on Facebook as well!
