5 Tips to Stay Younger Looking?

The pollution could really affect your skin especially here in the Philippines where it is always sunny mixed with the amount of pollution from the vehicles bustling around the metro making their way to wherever they’re going. Being exposed to the pollution, dirt, grime, sweat, and sun damage could really STRESS OUT YOUR SKIN especially for the people who go to school and have work every day.
These tips that I gathered are what I really do to keep my skin from breaking out and looking old. They are just simple steps that you could do to keep your skin looking good!

1. Drink Lots of Water!
I always try to finish a 1.5ltrs of water every day to help my body flush out the toxins from my body. It also helps with my metabolism especially in the morning where I drink 1-2 glasses of water to cure my constipation because my metabolism sucks! After a week of drinking lots of water, I noticed how my skin looks better and my eyes have become fresher looking!

 2. Avoid Food That Stains Your Teeth!
If you love drinking tea or coffee like me, then you definitely know what would happen to your teeth. That is why I always opt to drink coffee or tea using a straw to avoid the coffee or tea in making contact with your teeth. Not just coffee or tea, but sticky foods as well like barbecue sauce or soy sauce, wine, cola, are notorious tooth-stainers! Use whitening toothpaste to help clear the stain on your teeth to have that pearly white smile!

 3. Put The Salt Away!
Salty foods make you retain water resulting in a puffy look especially the under eye area. So if you think your eyes are puffy and you don’t know the reason why? Then you should start cutting your salt. 

 4. Hand Lotion.
The skin on the back of our hands is thinner than the other parts of our body and when dry air and sunrays saps the moisture out, your hands will look older than it really should. Check the back of your hand if you have any brown spots, and if yes, that’s sun damage. Start protecting it by using lotion, with sunscreen is the best. Got mine from a drugstore which was really cheap.

 5. Skincare!
I always wash my face at least twice a day (morning and evening) to remove every dirt. And I always follow it with a toner and moisturizer.

A trip to the dermatologist!

Today I went to my dermatologist at Svelt I in Timog, QC to have my bi-weekly facial cleaning. They always give me the C-White Facial because I have oily skin and acne marks. It's a 1hour-1hr 30mins procedure depending if there is a lot of dirt to remove from your face which is the little painful part of the procedure. But my favorite part is the mask which they call AC Mask which heals and brightens your skin, it was so relaxing. I was suppose to have a facial massage but they said my skin was oily so we had to skip it.
After the procedure, Dr. Lalaine Salazar handed me these items that I have to use.





In the AM:
1. Wash Face
2. Clindamycin Toner
3. Sunblock Gel

In the PM:
1. Wash Face
2. Clindamycin Toner
3. Benzoyl Peroxide 5%

I put a lot of different products in my face, so I think it's going to be hard for me to adjust using just these. But I will be giving an update weekly till we reach a month to find out how using these improves my skin. :)

We all know that guys are scared to get in touch with their feminine side--admit it!. The average man's daily regimen would only consist of shampoo, soap, deo, and some would wear moisturizer. So last week, I attended the even of Watsons which is the "Bro Bootcamp". So it was like a program showing the boys the master personal care - from basic cleaning, showering, shaving, scent, and moisturizing. 

 After a week of using the products, I came up with my top 5!


Old Spice Soap and Body Spray
The combination of these two would keep you smelling fresh all day! I got really addicted to the body spray that I always bring it with me wherever I go because it is that FRESH! You would always smell like you just came out of the shower.
Adidas 3in1 Shower Gel
Always in a hurry? Then this is the right product for you! Taking a shower using 3 different products could really take your time because you have to rinse each product. With this, you could just shampoo your hair, straight to washing your face, and to your body. It smells great too! So you could have one scent instead of mixing scents of your shampoo, soap, and facial wash. Plus, it's a space saver too if you love to travel. 
Dove Men+Care Deo
What I love about this deo is it doesn't have a strong smell unlike other brands that I've tried. I put on perfume and I wouldn't want my deo to mix with the perfume that I'm wearing. And my underarms really does stay dry for more than 24hours!
Gillette Fusion ProGlide with FlexBall Technology
I usually use the disposable ones and always thought that I'm good with it. Until I tried this from Gillette. It's super fancy because it swivels and vibrates. It's on the pricier side compared to what I used. But it's fun using it. 
Nivea Men Creme
This is another 3 in 1 that you could apply to your face, hands, and body. The difference between this and the blue tin can which we usually see in the supermarket, is their texture. The Nivea Men Creme has a lighter texture and is easier to apply compared to the normal blue one which makes my face super oily and even caused me breakouts.

Skin Milk Essence by Charmzone PH

Skincare has always been my priority because I really have bad skin. I suffer from bad acne when I was younger. But as life gets busier due to exams, papers, thesis, and other school works, plus events that I go to, my time for skincare shrinks.

For this post, I will be reviewing the Skin Milk Essence from Charmzone PH. They sent this bottle for me to try. So, here is my take on it.



What the box says:
Softener, Lotion and Essence into one product! Gives convenience and beauty simultaneously.

Here are the benefits of using it(according to the box):
  • Clean Skin - contains vegetable-based ingredients that work to transform skin clean.
  • Increasing Resilience - contains nourishing components including Cytokine that help to keep the skin resilient.
  • Promoting Moisturization - an excellent moisturizer gives skin feeling smooth and supple.
  • Tightening Pores - gives elastic action to pores, transforming smooth skin contours.
My skin type:
I have combination skin which is Type 3 - dry cheeks, oily t-zone.

How did I use it:
To fully maximize the effect of the product, I tried to skip all my other skincare regimen except for the washing of course. I didn't use any toner, moisturizer, serum, eye cream, etc. because I want to see how my bare skin will react to the product.

In the evening, after washing my face with soap(Dove Sensitive), I just pat dry, then apply two pumps. In the morning, I apply one pump.
I used it for 1 week.

The Verdict:
AMAZING! I'm not saying this because I got this product for free. I'm not even paid to make a blog about it. But what I like is that I DIDN'T BREAK OUT! Because I tend to have small bumps when I add something new to my regimen, but with this, it didn't!

Moisturizing. It really moisturized my skin especially the morning after applying this at night, but my t-zone is oily but in a good way. My skin was really glowy and looking healthy.

Time Saving! It's a softener, lotion, essence into one product! So you could skip the the others, but for dry skin, you could apply moisturizer after this.

For the pore minimizing, I didn't see any changes with my pores but it's not actually my problem because my main problem is my acne marks which is so hard to remove. This product didn't do anything with my acne marks but did a great job with moisturizing my skin.

Gatsby Blotting Paper

This by far is the best oil blotting paper I've used. I've always been on the look out for a blotting paper with powder cuz I have combination to oily skin especially on the T-Zone Area, and it was really hard finding one.

Luckily, I found Gatsby Powdered Oil Clear Paper.



What I like about this is that the powder used here is transparent, so it wouldn't change your skin tone. It also took the oil off of my face with just the first dab.
